Have you ever, at any one time, had the feeling that life is bad, real bad, and you wish you were in another situation?

You find life make things difficult for you, work sucks, life sucks,everything seems to go wrong...

Read the following story... it may change your views about life:

After a conversation with one of my friends, he told me despite taking 2 jobs, he brings back barely above 1K per month, he is happy as he is.I wonder how he can be as happy as he is considering he has to skimp his life with the low pay to support a pair of old parents, in-laws, a wife, 2 daughters and the many bills of a household.

He explained that it was through one incident that he saw in India that happened a few years ago when he was really feeling low and touring India after a major setback.He said that right in front of his very eyes he saw an Indian mother chop off her child's right hand with a chopper. The helplessness in the mother's eyes, the scream of pain from the innocent 4-year-old child haunted him until today.

You may ask why did the mother do so;
had the child been naughty, had the child's hand been infected??
No, it was done for two simple words -- -TO BEG!
The desperate mother deliberately caused the child to be handicapped so that the child could go out to the streets to beg.Taken aback by the scene, he dropped a piece of bread he was eating half-way. And almost instantly, a flock 5 or 6 children swamped towards this small piece of bread which was covered with sand, robbing bits from one another. The natural reaction of hunger.Stricken by the happenings, he instructed his guide to drive him tothe nearest bakery. He arrived at two bakeries and bought every single loaf of bread he found in the bakeries. The owner was dumbfounded but willingly sold everything. He spent less than $100 to obtain about 400 loaves of bread (this is less than $0..25 per loaf) and spent another$100 to get daily necessities.Off he went in the truck full of bread into the streets. As he distributed the bread and necessities to the children (mostly handicapped) and a few adults, he received cheers and bows from these unfortunate. For the first time in his life he wondered how people can give up their dignity for a loaf of bread which cost less than $0.25. He began to tell himself how fortunate he is. How fortunate he is to beable to have a complete body, have a job! , have a family, have thechance to complain what food is nice and what isn't nice, have the chance to be clothed, have the many things that these people in frontof him are deprived of...

Now I begin to think and feel it, too!

Was my life really that bad?

Perhaps... no, I should not feel bad at all...

Maybe the next time you think you are, think about the child who lost one hand to beg on the streets.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times welook so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that! we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past,you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

Please send this message to those people who mean something to you, to those who have touched your life in one way or another, to those whomake you smile when you really need it, to those that make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down, to those who youwant to let them know that you appreciate their friendship. • a can of crean sweet corn
• chicken fillet
• dried mushroom / any other mushroom <--- its not a must la
• dried shrimps
• vegetables (any kind, from brocoli to kai lan)
• 1 egg

The process

1. chop the chicken fillet into small pieces and mirinate them with light soya sauce and little bit of pepper.
2. soak the shrimps and mushrooms

Cooking Time

1. heat up the wok with little bit of oil
2. add in the chicken silces and cook till it turn slightly white
3. pour in the cream corn and maybe 1/2 bowl of water
4. stir well
5. add in the egg white, tiny bit of sugar and salt
6. DONE with the sweet corn chicken

Part 2 <--- to do like the above picture

1. boil the vegetables till its cook
2. place them around a plate together with the mushroom n shrimps
3. add the sweet corn chicken in the center

VIOLA!

me : huh! don remember liao la. average is around $1.50 each ba.
dad : what ! so expensive.
me : den wat u expect.
dad : wow lau. the boss eating 30 cent bread while the worker eat $1.50 doughnut.
me & my mum : HUH?
me : ur boss treated you all eat doughnuts ah?
dad : I hired the maid and the maid give me eat white bread with spread in the morning while i gave her doughnuts to eat.
me : *speechless*
mum : told u she know how to enjoy liao what.
me : *nod head*

at singapore expo, i brought the sweet corn cups for myself and the maid
maid : *throw the cup cover on the floor* <- the way she throw is like OPENLY
me : wati, can u please stop throwing rubbish on the floor? how many times must i tell u not to do that.
maid : *pick up the cover with shocked look*
me : i told u many times, u got to throw the rubbish into the bins right?
maid : *blur look*
me : do u know u will get fine $200?
maid : $20?
me : NO! ITS $200. which is around your 1 month salary.

brought my girl and the maid out to plaza singapura, on the way back home in the cab, both of them are enjoying the breadtalk breads that i gotten for them. YES! THE BOTH OF THEM, i am not eating any.
baby : *busy playing with the bread*
maid : *busy eating her bread*
baby suddenly throw a piece of the bread on the carpet.
maid : *picked up the bread and give back to baby while munching on her bread*
me : wati! how can u do that? bread dropped on the floor, u still wan to give wanqi eat. throw again later.
maid : *throw back the piece of bread on the carpet*
me : WATI!
maid : *stunned*
me : picked it up. how many times must i tell u?
maid : yes mdm. *picked it up and wanting to stuff in btw the seat*
me : wati, bring it down later and throw.
maid : yes mdm.
min laters..... arrived at home..... aft we get off the cab to take the stuffs from the boot. the driver came down and start to clean up the mess and start screaming at me in chinese angrily.
uncle : next time please don eat in the cab hor. very messy. wait ants come how.
me : sorry uncle.
uncle : *pissed off look*
maid : *smiley smiley not knowing what mess she have gotten me into*

maid : why mdm? uncle say what?

The Ladies Market is the place (i wouldn say its the greatest place) to shop for cheap stuffs, its like our bugis street but its much longer den our bugis street, the ladies market consist of around 4 streets long, and its 3 times bigger den our bugis street.

13 august 2007, hong kong.

we went to Lai Chi Kok for shopping, the stuffs there ARE CHEAP, hmm not cheap cheap cheap but its still cheap la, as compare to what they are selling in sg, Lai Chi Kok are like the area for wholesale products, and most of the retailers there only sell wholesale and those who own a shop/stall and have to be able to produce a name card before being able to purchase their shop at wholesale price, some of the shops there do sell single pieces too but it will be more higher price.

For example, i went in to this accessories shop, they sell totally nice pieces and i ask for wholesale price (thank god, i got my own name card/sticker tags along with me or else)

I brought :

• 3 gold chain necklaces with charm
• 3 silver chain necklaces with charm
• 2 ear rings
• 3 bracelets

with wholesale price, i paid around hk$1020.

without wholesale price, i will have to pay around hk$3000.

At night, we decided to head down to victoria bay to view the 'laser show' from those high rise office located at the hong kong island aka central. Its like our raffles place.

The laser show start at 8pm.

So, while walking toward the bay area, we decided to .....

i told u levion loved this hotel .... she basically want to stay in there the whole day and enjoy her bubble bath.

And it was also on this day, that she decided to pose for the camera, beware lots of posing...

this shop just opposite the langham place, sell really good mango desserts.


In hong kong, we brought

• a LV bag (its on discount and i cant resist saying NO)
• a Gucci sling black - joseph (its on discount too)
• a Gucci black tote bag (its on discount too)
• a psp memory 1 GB stick - joseph (don ask why)
• accessories x 11 pieces - wholesale price ma so i buy
• little handbags x 5 pieces - putting up for sale at CFR soon, whole sale price ma so... hehe
• t-shirts x 5 pieces for myself, 1 piece for ah hao
• key chains x 6 pieces - cos 6 pieces for hk$100 joseph got them for his office stuffs
• some winnie the pooh stuffs for doris
• some pig tapes and a pig key lock (i keep stuffs that consist of cute pigs, cows and some times mickey mouse vintage kind)
• 2 clothings for uncle kai's children
• 1 polo ralph top for levion
• 3 - 4 pieces for clothings for levion

the above are the rought stuffs that i brought... will post up photos of what i got in another post entry.

going to thailand

[on the way to hk airport]

its going to be a long ride there, so levion decided to get a nap....

time for boarding.....

say bye bye to hong kong and hello to thailand in around 3 hours time.

kids meal for levion, but well....

levion got her own seat and own kid meal but its all wasted cos she didnt sit in her seat and nv eat the meal cos WE WERE CARRYING HER thurout the whole air trip as she is sleeping.

i cant resist not getting dougnuts when i saw them. brought at MBK, just beside our hotel as in-case-you-get-hungry-you-got-food

15 aug was wasted cos of the flight and everything so by the time we reached hotel and have our dinner its already 8++pm. So joseph n myself decided to have a quick shop around MBK, and in around and hour or so we brought

• a black and white skull haversack bag for doris
• 2 bags for his sis
• a bag for jia hui
• 3 tops for myself ( each at the price of 199 bath )
• a abercrombie and fitch polo top - joseph
• a abercrombie and fitch polo top - me
• 1 dress - levion
• 1 body suit - nancy's son

16 - 18 august 2007

as usual, its a must for us to pray at 4 face buddha when we are at bangkok.

Saw the sign, its beauty buffet, located at siam square, they sell make up and beauty products, its pretty good stuffs they got there, from korean mostly. not sure if they are going to be around the next time i go back to bangkok. cos the shops they changed very fast.

And levion went to kiss this dog by the road side,





and i saw this, i was a bit shocked, cos they sell lolita and j-rock clothings and items there. Prices are pretty not the usual 199 or 299 pricings, on the higher pricings they are but their materials are good. Located at the siam square when the siam cinema is.


NOTE THE DIFFERENCE

Home sweet home.

Back to sg home at around 8++pm.

After we reach home to unpack, we brought the stuffs and lao po bin that we brought at hong kong, and the medicated oil and cream, 3 bags that are meant for his sis n mum and durian stick down to his mum place to hand the stuffs to them.

So by the time we are back home again was already 11.30pm. *yawnz*

Yawn... finally i am done with this very long posting. Photos are randomly taken out to post here, cos i took over 250+ photos and they will be up on my multiply soon i hope.

I just recieved a sms from sally :

last night ellen had dreamt of yao jin... It was so real that he wants us to gather to visit him... In the dream, we only see him but no one else can... Daniel and i (sally) will be going this sun... who wants to go...Pls msg mi (sally)... Pls pass this msg around. Thank You!

I am not too sure if i can make it cos i got to take care of levion and its 7th month so i cant bring her to this kind of place too, and my dad wouldnt be around on sun cos he will be playing manjong and i cant leave levion alone at home with the maid and my mother (i am sure some of u can understand why). I will have to confirm with sally again i guess.
